I don't see how @happymike44 is a pussy. I think he's completley right. I live in BTR also and Gustav really made me think about staying for another hurricane here. We really under estimated Gustavs power.

I used to live on Perkins Road and we watched a tree in our neigbors backyard get ripped out of the ground and dropped into our backyard.
The tree in our front yard snapped in half and fell across the street and blocked the roadway.
Then we had no lights for 8 days and our yard was knee deep in debris from the trees..
I lived through quite a few hurricanes but this one decided for me to leave Louisiana for higher and drier ground.

This was enough for me to sell and move.
The noise and the house shaking like a fat lady on a trampoline was enough.
We moved somewhere far away from the water and are much happier there now.
So long and take care Baton Rouge we are never coming back.

Hearing the wind and things crashing/falling was the scariest part--although I did walk around outside alot. And IKE is suppose to be worse, I don't know how this is going to turn out :/
