Another attempt of mine to make an opening in a Mad Movie style... this time for an ipotetical 'Tokyo Babylon' anime (The 'X' part isn't included... even if there's some 'X' footage). MAD Movie designates video done solely by Japanese so I labelled this simply a Alternate Theme...

'Eden' by To Destination
(Yami No Matsuei - OP)

Deep inside eyes overflowing with tears, the blue moon falls to pieces...

Without a sound, the brilliant world vanishes in darkness

Running around in the dark during the countdown
A new time will arrive, now...

Injured black wings glimmer beautifully
As they soar in the light of the moon

Now, the crimson kiss has found its way into my heart,
And will soon flow into my dream...

  • @SakumaRyuichiNG Seishiro seems to suffer of lack of care even for himself too (he's not troubled at all he lost an eye for someone, he says, he didn't care about...). Apathy can be tied in some cases to depression and depression can lead to suicide. Apathy can be felt after witnessing horrific acts. It might be young Seishiro was traumatized so he began developing it at a very young age (he said he didn't care about his parents/having them/knowing them... it's not natural for a child of 9)

  • @jjblue10 Maybe Seishiro doesn't even care about it o.o I particularly think he's indifferent not just with others but with himself as well... It's like a no interested in living human being. Probably he hadn't even have something he liked o.o

  • @SakumaRyuichiNG Seishiro too will probably be troubled by being resurrected, although in a different way by Subaru. Seishiro wasn't mentally all right to begin with since he committed suicide so I think it would be troublesome for him to be back on living when he had planned to die and to have to deal with a potential relation with Subaru and with what he said to Subaru before dying though I doubt he'll be sorry for the pain Subaru went through or that he'll show he's troubled by being alive.

  • @jjblue10 AGREEE~ it's not as "revive" and everything will be fine -like in some other mangas- it's not as easy as that, they simply have a lot which will trouble 'them' (honestly, Subaru will be the only affected probably). Plus it's not as if it was Seishiro personality, he didn't look as the type of man who's keeping beside someone. They're indeed, the opposite.

Well, CLAMP's interprise is probably that famous that doing great stories should be their only worry :(

  • @SakumaRyuichiNG Well, there are stories whose only logic ending can be a sad one unless a miracle happen (example: Seishiro is dead. Unless someone resurrects him he and Subaru won't have a happy ending. And if he were to resurrect he still would be Hokuto's murdered and the Sakurazukamori. Subaru can forgive him but still their life as a 'couple' wouldn't be easy).

Well, they're mangaka so 'selling' is their main goal... but it shouldn't be more important than making a good story...

  • @jjblue10 I love logical endings as well, probably it's kinda pathetic since i find logic... like a sad ending XD But it's just that a sad story with tragedy... it's almost impossible for ending with flowers and honey.

Yup, CLAMP has changed a lot their storylines... i hope it's not just for the money... at least my fav mangas by them are their oldest... which is, actually, sad .__.

  • @SakumaRyuichiNG Chobits was another commercial series, with cuteness all around for the purpose of selling gadgets. The plot in the end was a fail.

I don't really need for a story to have a sad ending for it to be good, but it needs to have a LOGIC ending. Chibits failed, Suki Dakara Suki failed, TRC failed, Angelic Layer failed... there's too much fail here...

  • @SakumaRyuichiNG TRC was completely a commercial story. They sacrificed plot, characterization, logic, anime series, OAV and even xxxHOLiC only for the sake of selling more.

I could have be fine if TRC had a happy ending that made sense but the thing they used as ending is... -_-

    CLAMP, why?

I've been told Wish ending wasn't the one they planned so I don't know the real ending was.

But it wasn't really that sad since in the end Kohako and Shuichiro managed to find each other again.

  • @jjblue10 I stopped myself reading CLAMP stories for a while when i read Chobits i was so, SO dissapointed. CLAMP was "CLAMP" for me and after reading Rg Veda, TB and X i was like: excuse meeeee?

then Wish brought me back... but then Tsubasa... the only think that made me read Tsubasa was the fact that I listened Ashura ou and Yasha (my fav paring) appeared. But yes, CLAMP is like "we're gonna do sweet shoujo alone, girls" and all the "we're waiting for X dear clamp... please... draw as used to"

  • @jjblue10 Yes, I do agree with that; CCS was a shoujo style which started and finished like it. I guess it's fine to have some "relax" but they kept on that way for a while now... Tsubasa has blood but honestly, in the end even when many dead it wasn't a sad story at all. However, Tsubasa and XXXHolic were probably the most darker stories they have had in a *long* while~

I remember "Wish" which was shoujo but in the end it wasn't a happy end (at least if we consider the original storyline.
