As an "east indian" I'll just chime in and say we aren't ourselves very fond of term. We use Indian and call the peoples of North America, Native or Aboriginal. I mean, there's over a billion of us, why shouldn't we be able to keep our name? We've got the historic connection to it, the Natives got it by mistake.

@jFizzlfication i never mentioned anything about political correctness. hell, i hate political correctness but im just saying the way to distinguish indians in north america from indians in asia is by calling the ones in asia east indians cause india is on the eastern side of the world

@chargersfan141 indian is not an incorrect term just because I didnt specify the region in India doesn't make it a politically incorrect term. And you're right Jidhal is of indian descent but is himself an american.

@unbreakableunion To be fair, Linda Duncan is not the usual rookie, having a master of law and had been working for the ministry of environment, the Renewable Resources, the division of NAFTA on environmental cooperation.
And, Jaffer had some issues; because he was drunk driving at 93 in a zone of 50, had some meeting with a banker for the hells, coke possession (charge dropped)&paying prostitute.He looked like an hypocrite when he say "the ndp is soft on drug" ;)
