I was there for this race and remember it. This was such a great place to spend a warm summer night. Figure 8s, school bus trains, demo derby, the owl, the track announcer, Mike Fortier #6, Dan Press #25, Tim Robinson #78, Tony Balzano and MANY more. Bob's Big Boy after the race. The track and stands are still there, in great shape! Just swap meets and movie now. I live in Ojai now but would travel the distance if they'd race again. 70s and 80s at Saugus Speedway- What a country!!!

That indeed was a scary crash! I went to this track a lot before it closed. I even knew the cameraman,Steve Gardner. I would purchased videos from him regularly and he would mail them to me at my home. I live in San Bernardino and it was about a two hour drive. But it was well worth it because it was very exciting action to watch. Great stuff and fantastic memories. I miss this track very much. I had a lot of fun there!

There is a good chance I went to this race. Either here or Ascot. Those tracks were great.

I was 6 years old when my father and I went to this race! We were even there when NASCAR had a race there. Pretty cool to see someone put this kind of stuf up!

now thats teh swat meat. im sure they will tear taht down and buil houses over that nice piece of history as every other mountain they decided to cut down. o and if any of those rich fucks that had anything to do with the increase in population out here FUCK YOU.
