  • ah yes, back when macs still came in colors other than "I'm futurey and advanced!" white.

if not for the CRTs, i'd think that the current iMacs looks LESS advanced then these old ones.

  • Is that Jeff Goldblum?

  • Actually, this is very good product. Instead of Windows back then, where you had a giant PC case and even bigger CRT monitor, here you have everything in a size of one CRT monitor, maybe even smaller. Apple was very creative back then. Now, just look at a Mac Mini. No CD/DVD disk drive. Mac Pro? Everything else just like a PC, only the box is made out of aluminum, and the machine supports OS X.

iMacs should be considered another type of platform. They're just amazing. APPLE !!! <3

  • Sounds like a condom commercial

  • This is the best Mac in existence. I'm still hunting it.

  • Oh dam I can't afford both the iMac and the heated leather seat. I'm going to have to choose

  • @oConshien Well thats because they NEED overclocking to be useful at all.

A PC will always only be a PC... :(

(written from my over clocked pc while watching the video on my mac)

  • If I didn't see the title, I would think this was a car commercial!

  • @spacehelmetforacow PowerPC is RISC (Reduced instruction set computing)… Yep… All the game consoles use PPC… It would technically be possible to make Mac OS X run smoothly on them…

  • @poiiihy Plastic's fairly durable.

Besides, it's not like Aluminum can't be painted, or anything...

  • @JackBandicootsBunker Techncially, old macs were PowerPC, which was a spin-off of RISC, but still I agree.

There's a very good reason RISC is used in all curent game consoles. It's a flexible, speedy, low=power layout compared to x86 and Athalon.
