Greetings from Anonymous.
Viacom has become a threat to our personal rights, and our privacy as individuals. Many people have had to suffer at the hands of Viacom and be accused of self proclaimed acts of "copyright infringement". Their logging of countless IP addresses and falsely accusing people of copyright infringement is unnecessary and ludicrous. We, Anonymous, are here to put an end to Viacom's tyrannical schemes, and take the people's side.
In a recent lawsuit loss with YouTube, Viacom attempted to mislead the people by plotting fake videos in a sad attempt to exploit YouTube for money. Viacom requested that all log-in names, emails, and IP addresses from users on YouTube be sent to them. Access was granted, and this only further ensures the fact that Viacom has overstepped its boundaries.
Viacom has become money hungry, and in their hunt they have caught the attention of Anonymous. We, Anonymous, the people, demand that Viacom publically admit their mistakes and apologize for gathering information that is not rightfully theirs. We also demand that these attempts stop, and that Viacom allow the free flow of information. If not, then Viacom will feel the full wrath of Anonymous.
We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not forgive stopping the free flow of information.
We do not forget infringing individual's freedoms.
Viacom, Expect us.
You call it piracy.
We call it FREEDOM.
