Creative teams of designers, artists and local people from Tiger Bay speculate a future for the Roath Basin development site in Cardiff Bay, Wales.
The event was organized by innovative urban development company 'igloo Regeneration', the Design Circle (Royal Society of Architects in Wales, South Wales Branch) and Design Commission for Wales.
The event was part of the Cardiff Design Festival 2008.
Every councillor in Cardiff should have their feet nailed to the floor and be forced to watch this - at least three times. Then they should sit and watch it with the planners, designers, parks personnel who are so keen to produce a third rate city. (Oh, don't forget that out of control monster called "Special Projects" in the council.)
I'd like to say that this video fills me with hope - sadly, I just think it will be another example of how limited is Cardiff' councils' and developers' vision.
