He is nowhere near communist. He has not nationalised any VIABLE institutions. The US government has only taken control of certain corporate institutions when not doing so would have ended in economic disaster. These institutions will, in time, be restored to private control after they are stabilised and profitable once more.

@CaptainNeatbeard where exactly? under what heading in the DOH website? here's a tidbit: Prior to 1972, a COLB could be obtained through uncorroborated testimony by a single family member up until the child turned one with the only stipulation that the mother lived in a Hawaii at least one year previous to his birth.

@megagagnon1 Yes BUT if he hadn't had proof, such as a physician or having it done in a hospital, then he WOULD NOT have been given a Certificate of Hawaiian Birth, he would've been given a LATE BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Therefore, even if he'd been given a Late Birth Certificate the Hawaii Department of Health would've had to research and check it's validity before legally being allowed to validate his natural born status.

@megagagnon1 Then the Department of Health determined that he was born in the US. Like I said proof had to be given to get the birth certificate without a midwife or physician. You can't just fill out the forms. You have to PROVIDE EVIDENCE. (emphasis not yelling). Therefore the state has determined there was sufficient evidence and he's a citizen.

@CaptainNeatbeard two things - If the baby is birthed by a midwife or doc, they must report it. back then it was quite common for women to give birth without any health care professionals. in that case you just have to go to the dept of health in honolulu and fill out the colb forms, and at the same time you fill out the birth announcement forms, which the health dept forwards to the local papers. and none of those two announcements say anything about a hospital
