It's funny how some people are on the side of Big Oil. If you like Oil so much then eat it you stupid fucks. While the rest of us evolve.

@lawnngardenguy why don't you upgrade the batts to dry cell batts they are lighter, and use aftermarket body parts such as carbon fiber hood door and trunk, there is a lot of aftermarket cosmetic parts for this vehicle. by making it lighter will be faster and will require less power to move making the battery last longer. you can also add alternators to the rear wheel so while you are in motion you can recharge the battery since this car is a FWD, is just my grain of rice to the pot. that's all
dunno what you pay for electric, but still cheaper, especialy if you live and work in an urdan community where your driving less than 40 miles a day

For starters you will need an Electric Motor not an engine,And you may want to consider building you battery compartment between your frame rails,It lowers your center of gravity and you still have bed space,6 volts are better that 12 volts,so when you measure between your frame rails and at 144 volts using 6 volt batteries you will need to fit 24 in your build,There will be room in the front compartment for 4-6 batteries.

Yeah, It would be better but our build cost was $15,000.00 , are far cry from 70,000.00,and not to mention the experiance we got from the build
