My husband is currently in Afghanistan, getting ready to return home next month after a very long year deployment. Our children and I miss him like crazy, but we could not be more proud of our HERO. We love you Specialist Coughlin... Can't wait to have you back in our arms again!! <3

@wwc33 that post made me cry! Thank you for your service. And thank you for the sweet message to us girlfriends/wives/children. I'm an army Fiance, and it's real tough but I know what it's like for him too! I'm so proud that my guy is an American Soldier. I will stand by him through anything.

Love this song makes me think about the conversation I had on sunday with a navy seal that told me his life didn't matter that fighting for us was all he knows. Pissed me off to no end and then I found out he had a child as well.

I'm a 34 year old former Marine and this song brings tears to my eyes. For every wife/girlfriend/child who stood on that dock and waved goodbye to all of us, not really sure if we were ever coming home. It takes a VERY special kind of woman to love a Soldier/Marine, and that love is some of the strongest I have ever witnessed. You ladies are amazing, and we all fight for you <3

my daddy is in the armed forces and i havent seen him since two christmas' ago. sometimes its months before i get a letter from him. the last time i talked on the phone with him, was two months ago. i recorded it so i can hear his voice when i miss him, so far ive fallen asleep to it ever night. im 13 years old and i have lived with out him since i was 10. i have a little brother who is 6. my mom works full time, she has 2 jobs mon.-fri. and 1 job sat.&sun. please help my family and pray for us
