I lived there in 2006 and 2007 and there was a lot of gangs and drugs and violence. I don't know how it is now but it was bad when I lived there.

In the last year I've heard of a guy getting shot on Capitol Hil, a guy getting a hatchet to the face on Capitol Hill, a drive-by shooting on First Hill, a shooting at the Federal Way Walmart, and at a car show in Des Moines. My point is WC is no worse than anywhere else. We only get a bad rep because there's lots of poor people here and the people with money would rather shit on the poor people than try to help them out. For all the Rat City folk, don't leave. Stay and try to make a difference.

i lived there, its a great neighborhood i like the taco truck ha ha...theres a lot of bums and drugs not a lot of gangs but all in all seattle in general is a safe place and so is white center i love that place it reminds me of east san jose with mexicans and blacks a long with asians and ssamoans all int he same place with mexican and asian restaurants ha

this is bullshit i livie in south seattle in white center im in 8th grade and i hate it here my house has been broken into like a billion times and everyone is poor including me and im samoan and thats just the west side of south seattle the east sides bad too rainier beach hillman city and mlk and rainier ave. and da whole east side is bad too south park and george town and white center so dont be fooled by this video
