thanks for posting this. The comment about "let the lens change perspective and do the work for you" is a bit confusing, though. The idea that changing lenses changes perspective is a common misconception. All that changing lenses does is change the angle of view, perspective only changes when you change your physical position.

That is a Nikon D3X. It is Nikon's flagship portrait camera. It's full frame and sports 24 MP if I'm not mistaken (I shoot Canon). Expensive, but good. The lens he is usually using looks like the Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8. Also an expensive, but great, product.
