I wish they had re-reviewed this car after they facelifted it and made it a bit more 'sporty' in 2001. I know that the Clarksonator is a big fan of the Galant VR4 - there's an article on the TG website about it. I'd love to know what they think of the standard model.

@bragigunnlaugsson the ones in some VW's are really bad, in my 98 Golf, it will only hold a 12 ounce can and the one in my 2000 Passat wagon was useless.

worst cup holder I ever came across other than the old Toyota van has to be the one in my 2000 Passat wagon, this tiny sliver of plastic pops outa the bottom of the dash just above the useless ashtray in the console, then you swing out another sliver of plastic to hold the second cup...

@bragigunnlaugsson that's why the Galant didn't do well here in the states, over here, a car without good cup holders is as useless as a clock without hands
