Contains a small part of the Kingwood Pike, and some of the best parts of Route 50.

  • This part of the video looks like up and down Larurel Mtn. a couple of times. Actually it's US Rt 50 rather than West Virginia Rt 50.

  • Fixed! Thanks... I believe the first mountain pass is called "Friends Gap", and the second one is Cheat Mountain. I also included some footage of the same roads in reverse order.

  • Is this the section of route 50 in WV that crosses the Allegheney Mountains?

  • Yep... beginning is from the Kingwood Pike between Morgantown and Reedsville, and the rest is Rt 50 between Israel and Macomber, and Erwin and Dayton (had to consult google earth for the town names). I'm gonna try to get one more good video before summer ends.

  • That's my old stomping grounds from when I was growing up. It looks to me like it begins going up the west side of Laurel Mtn. goes through Friend's Gap, down the east side, around "the big S" and then around 6'20" starts back up the east side of Laurel Mtn. I don't see Cheat Mtn. anywhere.

Have a 5* for the memories.
