My goodness... So much generosity! Thank you so much!

Right, and hopefully newbies (like me) working with this medium will read the directions very carefully. The added utensils and appliances are well worth the extra investment. Thanks for the reminder.

@onikuy harden like a rock unless its a mold maker, eraser clay, or bake and bend
just take a little bit of vaseline and condition it! it works better than the clay softner

@GabbyLawrence Petroleum is not the right product to use with clay. It will break it down and cause it to be weak after it's cured. You should only use the products that are meant to go with polymer clays.

It's porous and not as hard as rock by any means. There are polymers on the market that will stay rubbery and more flexible. But most are pretty strong and rigid.

Thank you! I just wanted to show how easy it is. I went a full year without a chopper when I started. I had no idea these even existed. And I used Fimo Classic. Not fun! ;)

You should NOT use baby oil. It is not meant for use with Polymer clay. IT breaks down the clay- it doesn't mix in- and after the clay is baked it will make it very weak and brittle. You need to use products that are designed to use with clay.
