-?zcrEV: Hi Mom, I'm going out on a quest!

MOM: Sounds interesting. What are you going to do?

-?zcrEV: I'm going to become the world's strongest trainer and catch every single pokemon in this region.

MOM: OK, but be back for dinner.

Pokémon Blue is part of the first generation of games within its famous series, known for having a very large number of beneficial glitches. In fact, the game can be completed in less than one minute of in-game time by save data corruption as evidenced in the Yellow run (http://tasvideos.org/1702M.html), and it can be completed in under an hour using a similar, yet more 'conventional' glitch, as shown by the Red run (http://tasvideos.org/1700M.html). These runs break the game, and avoid much of the gameplay intended by the developers.

And now, for something completely different. In this run, the authors, p4wn3r and Mukki, catch all 151 pokémon and complete the game while only using what they call "light glitches", showing off much more of the game than in the other runs while still using many glitches to complete this goal much faster than the programmers could have imagined. For more details about the techniques used in this run, and for their definition of what constitutes a light glitch, as always, please see the authors' notes.

  • @turtwig533 It's called manipulation. Because of how a TAS works, if something fails you can go back and do it over until you get the desired result.

  • @13mungoman13 That glitch is legit, you can get any Pokémon with that glitch, using Ditto and Special stat

  • hmm its notice something, how can you catch every pokemon on your first try? and how can not get random encounters also?

maybe its one of the glitches he/she did

  • 0:39:41 A wild MEW appeared!

    Seems legit.

  • This game is still amazing, this game was made in 1998. Thumbs up if your watching in 2012 :3

  • I accidentally 93 mb of this video... is this dangerous?

  • It's pretty funny to see "I" fight.

    I used tackle!

    I gained experience points!

  • @Turtlezare1337 Yeah. I knew that Geodude must've had something to do with it.

  • Luck abuse is one hell of a drug

  • @Stiglitz51 Google "mew glitch" and see what comes up. It is also level one because he used growl 6 times before on the geodude. The geodude had a special stat of 9, which is the number he needed to meet Ivysaur in the zone he entered. Because he growled 6 times, the ivysaur was level 1. Growl reduce the level of the next glitched pokemon for each growl for some reason i dont know. Then he got the level 1 ivysaur less than 57, which make it level to 100.

    glitches, glitches everywhere
