Our Son Connor aged 13 was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure. End stage renal failure (ESRF) is when kidney function is so bad that you are likely to die within weeks or months unless special treatment such as dialysis or transplantation is given.
Connor traveled to Leeds three to Four times per week for Dialysis treatment.
On the 4th September 2009 his Father became a Living Kidney Donor.
A Kidney Transplant is not a cure for Connors condition, only a treatment! We hope it will last a long time......
excellent video showing the changes a transplant can make to those who are waitings life.
as a patient at Jimmies of over 30 years doing home dialysis and having had transplants i know full well the care given from the staff.
Hope it all goes well and lasts as long as some of my friends have had theirs (30 years plus!)
