@cycoleman can I just say. In racing thhey are allowed to hit their horse a total of 3 times. They wave the whip up and down past their eyes to make them go faster, not hitting them. The rider in this video had no right to do that to his horse. He was being very inconsiderate and riding badly.

He just did what he thought would work to win. Probably wasn't the best idea but it worked

@cycoleman ok yes u have a good point but he did it over and over again. Jockeys do use the whip but they don't whip a horse 12 times in one length do they! He did it excessively going to one jump!

In my opinion the guy is an ass and what he did was wrong.

@tomacsrubin Yah and he was wrong for doing it and he couldn't ride for 6 months he's riding our grandprixs horse now but i do agree and he should not have done that it was not right and i see were your coming from

in the USEF rules it says that you are only supposed to hit the horse 3 times in a row and obviously that didnt happen... 12 times in unacceptable

What a spoiled little man. He hit his horse at least a dozen times in anger after pitching a hissy fit and throwing all his toys out of the pram. So long as the criticism keeps raining down on him, perhaps he should consider building himself an ark.
