  • That's so far from the truth, it's rediculous. The Equinox is top of the line and bests any other vehicle in its class. If you think the Malibu has a bland interior, you've never driven an Accord or Camry. No Japanese competitor can offer seating for 8 and 24 mpg highway like the Traverse. Also, the Camaro doesn't even compete in the same class as the Maxima. Your argument is pitiful. The Maxima starts at 30k and the Camaro at 22k anyway and what do you mean out-dueled? In terms of what?

  • volumes too damned low!!

  • You know what GM or Chevy should do is on the next version of this car. They should put some solar panels on it. Have that be like their deluxe version of the car. It can be charging while you at work, driving, and sitting in a parking lot. Hell if you leave it at an airport and it could recharge there. They can put the solar panels on the hood, roof, and door panels and if they fill really inventive they could make pull down solar sheets for the windshield. I think that would help the car.

  • My Volt is awesome. Everyone should experience driving it at least once.

  • 1 gallon of gasoline=33.7 kw-hr....thats what they are basing the equivalence on.

  • @britneff

Please send me the link to the GM site that states the fuel consumption of the Volt as 95 mpg with the engine running. I would think that GM would want to possibly take legal action against the EPA since the EPA lists the fuel consumption of the Volt as 37 mpg when the engine is running. If you can honestly prove that the Volt gets 95 mpg after the battery has run out I'll put my name down to buy one right away.

  • @marshgre I do check my facts... with GM .. my EMPLOYER :)

  • @britneff

Check your facts. They are very inaccurate. Before posting "facts" that you find online check them out against several sources. My facts come from the EPA, Popular Science, and GM. As for your suggestion that I am buying a "foreign" car, Here in Canada all cars are technically foreign there are no domestic Canadian automobile manufacturers. Every car I have ever bought has been used so more of my money stays in my community then if I bought the car new.

  • @marshgre ACTUALLY the volt gets 65 miles and after that it gets about 95mpg in a back up tank. And I think GM keeps their families in mind however you do not buy buying and supporting a foreign vehicle.

  • @TheUSPH No. The Volt has an EV only range of 40 miles. Less if you use the AC or Heat (true for all EV's) The problem is that GM did not design the Volt with families in mind. That shows up when you compare their product with those that Nissan (Leaf EV) and Toyota (Prius hybrid) offer. Volt won't work for a family of 5 and Nissan is dragging it's feet with getting the Leaf to my part of the world, so Toyota won and there is a new (to me) 2010 Prius sitting in my driveway as of this weekend.

  • @marshgre i think i heard that the Volt can run more than 100 mile range. i forgot where but its somewhere in this website. cheers!
