  • @sodorsno1 ive never had a problem with any of my T9s slipping and i have 3 there all capible of hauling 6 bachmann mk1s

  • its a nice loco but its a crap puller hornby should do somthing about it!!!!

  • I have had the same problem aswell! The T9 has these rubber traction tyres on one wheel which I have never got on well with. It struggles to pull more than two Maunsell coaches! I hope someone has a solution!!!

  • edit: I think it actually says in the Model rail review TWENTY FIVE coaches!

  • My t9 (the BR black one with the wider cab) has a tendancy to slip with only THREE bachmann mk1 coaches! my layout has a bit of a gradient, probably because the board bows a bit in the middle (I kne I should have put wooden slats across the underside!) but the review for the t9 in 'Model Rail' magazine says that on the flat, it should be able to haul about FIFTEEN coaches on the flat. My layout isn't tht steep!

What should i do to stop it slipping?!

  • Hmm I am still waiting for my NRM T9 120 perhaps I have the Same problem like jamiegoddard4 I'll have to put NRM Sir Lamiel on the back, my layouts 1 in 49.

  • I had the same problem with my t9. I had to atttach a second engine to allow it to pull 4 mk1's round a third radius track sectoin.
