Stop repressing the Egyptian people's resistance. Down with Mubarak!
At this moment the Egyptian people are taking to the streets demanding dictator Mubarak to step down from power.
Mubarak has ruled Egypt for 30 year with ruthless repression and in dictatorship.
Under Mubarak's dictatorship, Egyptian democracy, freedom, and human rights were completely trampled. Mubarak has used the draconian Emergency Law to clamp down on any sign of resistance. Moreover, in using the classic divide and rule strategy, Mubarak has disseminated a lie at home and abroad that Egyptian Muslims hate Egyptian Christians and the fundamental Islam is a threat to Egyptian society. History shows the Egyptians people have united across religions to fight against imperialism and dictatorship.
All wealth and power were concentrated in Mubarak's family and a few privileged people while the Egyptian working people suffered in poverty, discrimination, and inequality. To make things worse, Mubarak sought to pass down the power to his son.
Even today the terrible suffering of the Egyptian people continues due to skyrocketing of prices, unemployment and imperialist interventions of the USA in the Middle East.
Nevertheless, the Egyptian people have courageously fought against the incompetent and brutal dictatorial government without submission.
The recent uprising of the Egyptian people sparked by the Tunisian revolution is part and parcel of the democratic movement that started in 2001, the anti-imperialist struggles, and workers' strikes.
Already in 2004 tens of thousands of Egyptians demonstrated in protest against the occupations of Iraq and Palestine and to demand the end of Mubarak's dictatorship.
From 2006 to 2008, Mahala textile workers organized strikes occupying factories. The unyielding Mahala struggle has brought back the Egyptian workers' tradition of militant struggle.
These struggles were all just and the people who participated in these struggles and many more who were inspired by the struggles are now in the middle of the current struggle.
Dictator Mubarak has always ignored the just demands of the Egyptian people and every time he has brutally repressed them. Police and thugs under the wings of the police wielded terror on the demonstrations organized by the democratic movement and barbaric violence such as sexually assaulting women.
The US government has been protecting the Mubarak government and its acts.
Mubarak is brutally repressing the Egyptian people demanding freedom and democracy as we speak. According to the press report, already seven persons have lost their lives. Despite such repression, however, the resistance and anger of the Egyptian people are growing.
We strongly condemn the Mubarak government that is ruthlessly killing Egyptian people who wants democracy and freedom. The Egyptian people's struggle for job, freedom, and democracy is just. We demand the immediate cessation of the Emergency Law.
We are one with the struggle in Egypt for genuine freedom and liberation until Mubarak is overthrown.
Down with Mubarak.
Freedom for the Egyptian People!
Jobs for Egyptian Workers!
Freedom for All Presses!
