Vigils for 15 Farm Worker Victims of Heat-Deaths

Since 2004, 15 farm workers have died in the fields of California due to heat-related illnesses. They have been denied basic things such as water, shade, and rest breaks on the job that state law says that they must be provided. In the summer of 2009, prayer vigils were held by people of faith in Los Angeles to honor the lives of these farm workers who died preventable deaths. These are photos from these vigils.
