you actually dont even have to remove the force motor, the wire is plugged to the back of it, just unclip it. but yea you can remove the harness without removing the valve body.
Im looking to replace this valve body on a Ford ZX2. It has a bad shift solenoid. Has anyone ever had to do this? I have been told by someone online that you can actually remove it without even pulling the transmission out. Simply by removing the transmission filter and there it is. Could this be true?
thanks for the video! I'm gonna try to rebuilt a ford taurus trasmission myself Looks Like I'm gonna need a work bench and lots of cleaning fluid, what is best to use?? Thinner?
Don't use Paint Thinner for any cleaning of auto parts. It leaves a residue behind.
Lacquer Thinner is much better for the job, but beware, it strips paint off of anything. You should protect your skin from it as well with plenty of latex or better yet, nitrile gloves.
