I must admit that,in my ignorance,I can not speak nor understand the wonderful French language,but with an entertaner such as monsieur Becaud it's not really necessary to understand the words of his song,you just need to listen to the man sing.He had that wonderful and illusive thing called 'SOUL'.
He is sorely missed.

merci pour cette merveilleuse chanson ... j'ai toujours aimé Gilbert Bécaud depuis les "Balladins" j'avais 9 ans ... et je tremblais tant c'était "enchanté et enchanteur" !! et toujours c'était innovant ... Mais il est évident que c'était un grand, un vrai compositeur. toutes ses musiques étaient exceptionnelles. et je fredonne souvent "la maison sous les arbres", ou "j'irai dimanche à Orly" et tout et tout .... la magie opère toujours - MERCI
