As a lot of you know, I had a really shitty pessoa final. First, I fell off in the warm-up. Then I pulled my horse to a halt in the middle of the pessoa final. A lot of you may wonder why. I do too. I was an idiot, a fool; I made my trainers look dumb and I made myself look immature and horrible. Truth is, I was scared as SHIT. I was on the edge of tears going in, and it just wasn't going to be a good day.

"It comes and goes in waves"

But, who cares? I don't give a shit about what some people are going to say about what I did. Because sometimes, things just don't go well. And sometimes they do. But I refuse to dwell on the moments of mistakes, because everything gets better.

So this is for the lonely, the ones who seek and find, and the experts at the fall.... There are a slim few who are amazing and can put out good round after good round. This isn't for them. This is for the general riders, the ones who make mistakes more than perfect distances; because it is YOU we should look up too. "There only where they are now, regardless of their fight." Day in and day out we give our heart into this sport, and yet we still mess up on a regular basis. That is courage, that is dedication, devotion, and passion. We manage to continue through hard work that seems to only lead to bad days, and yet we keep going! We should be who people look up too. So, if you are one of those people, I respect you; because you live your dream, day in and day out, regardless of the outcome. Props to you.

  • Your videos have yet to fail me on inspiration. Thank you. My new lesson horse and I have yet to "click," and your videos seem to make it seem easier than it all really is. I'm afraid of failing on him. In just a few weeks, I've met the ground twice on him. But thank you for reminding me that it takes time, and we get through it. I'm not perfect, and neither is he. Thank you again. :)

  • @dinoponyluv I'm glad they mean something to you :) Bonding with a horse can happen on sight, or it can take years. You just have to be patient; and sometimes the bond won't even be "special" but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy everysecond you sit on that horse.

  • god your videos are so freakin inspirational and make me feel like im not shit.. which is how i feel a lot with my riding. youre really inspiring me not to let people tell me what i am, and that my decisions are my decisions and only i know right. youre kind of like my idol.

    thank you :)

  • @sixxstrides :) Thank you so much! you just have to remmeber you do this for YOU, not for anyone else. Which means it should be you who makes the calls, because at the end of the day you have to live with them.

  • Wow the description is absolutely great! Im in a funk right now with my horse. I was on a winning streak for a while and then one show took that away and now im nervous everytime i step into the ring and im always scared that im going to miss my spots to the jumps because i am afraid of failure. You are actually helping me out of it! At the end of the day we are human and we all make mistakes but we end up learning from them in the end. Thank you for helping me with your vids!

  • @Lprocks1007 I am so glad they help! we just can't expect perfection from ourselves, its too much to ask. If we are afraid of failure, we can never succeed.

  • this is such a good video!

i watched pessoa finals live on my computer and saw your round. i really respect you for halting your horse and trying to calm him down when he was spooking (which is completely understandable with how spooky that ring is). in my opinion, that was the best horsemanship thing you could have done in that situation. i think you are an amazing rider and i lovee your horse :)

  • You are a wonderful rider, girl. I look up to you, because that would've scared the crap out of me too. I had some bad falls awhile ago jumping higher and ever since then I have been scared out of my mind to even jump higher than 2 feet. I hate that I get so scared, that my confidence is lost. I want to show in the 2'3 division in april, but I don't know how I can when I get so scared, plus my show horse likes to buck sometimes after jumps.

  • @Lara4everandever Well.. I've been in your shoes. Same height, too. So you should feel a little better. Let me just tell you that you end up being a diamond in the rough, and the shows turn you into a diamond. You can do it. You have to learn to trust in yourself, and, believe it or not, trust in the horse. Most horses know their job, and you have to let them do it. You have to take risks. If you win, you are happy. If you lose, however, you become wise. Take the risk. Enter 2'3". You can do it.

  • @HunterChampion68 I'm sorry to hear:( We all make mistakes! keep strong:)

  • the videos you make are so good! what song did you use for this one?

  • @artex6 No it was just bad and I was frustrated, it was a bad call on my part.
