Joe Theismann On Riggins vs Snyder, Offensive Line Woes, And Drinking Hot Chocolate During Games

Talk Radio News Service Correspondent Geoff Holtzman speaks with former Redskins great Joe Theismann. Theismann, who led the Skins to a win in Super Bowl XVII, says that while owner Dan Snyder and GM Vinny Cerrato are partly to blame for the team's problems, the players are also at fault for failing to execute on a consistent basis. Theismann takes issue with former Redskins running back John Riggins' highly critical remarks about Snyder, and offers his opinion on what the Skins need to do personnel-wise to improve next season.

Joe Theismann should be inducted into the Hall of Fame one day. Back to back Superbowl appearences? He should get the nod one day. I lived in D.C. and went to all the games during the Hogs erra. Joe had the smallest recieving core in the league. But, still, Joe was hittin' his recievers Over the shoulder, On the run, and Between the numbers! Hail to the Redskins!

@gaholtzmanradio when ypu say "hall of fame Quarterback you need to make the distinction of pro or colleg HOF. he is not an NFL hall of famer and thus you can't say "hall of fame QB" because that means Canton OH.

he should be in Canton but until he is you can't call him a hall of famer unless you make the distinction of College or pro

Geoff, good job getting this video. But it really saddens me to see Joey T slamming Riggins like this. I like Joe Gibbs' approach better - he said he valued his relationship with both Riggo and Snyder, and refused to comment further. Joey T shoulda done the same. Right now, he sounds too much like he's on the payroll (which he is).
