A lot of make up and a cheesy voice doesn't justify lying to children. Nobody will be there but their teary eyed friends and family if they ever encounter cancer, aids, diabetes, or their inevitable death. Death is an easier thing to understand and deal with if you're presented with this knowledge in a direct and truthful way.
