Project Censored on The American Media Part 1

Peter Phillips is director of Project Censored a thirty year program that each year presents important stories ignored by the mainstream media. In this series of interviews he talks about media, censorship, the 9/11 attacks and the difficulties that lie in trying to get the truth out.
In Part one the focus is on the difficulties his organization faced in dealing with stories relating to the Sept. 11 attacks. Mr. Phillip's comments make a nice introduction to what we seek to do at Mindsi2.

There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that 9/11 was an inside job. I have been investigating this coverup for 4 years. The MSM ; the politicians and even some average Americans seem to fear this subject. It is the power elite who designed this act, who should be afraid. I for one will stand up for the victims and the truth. Our Creator expects no less from us.

So a university professor can say and believe all kinds of wild stuff and spout nonsense -- and your defense is "free speech"? I'm not saying he can't say or believe what he wants, only that he shouldn't teach it. The cafeteria at his University is named after the only person ever convicted of cannibalism. What if he taught cannibalism is a legitimate lifestyle? Free speech?

There is no question in any educated mind that the media's job is not to make money, but to actively participate in a huge role in government, being an independent source of unbiased media depicting the actions of our regulatory bodies, whether executive and legislative branches.

The media has been a cornerstone in common democracy for the past century. Your comments are out of place; censorship clearly exists in this country, whether you admit it or not.

How in the world can a university professor keep his job while teaching that 9-11 was the result of "controlled demolition"? Endorsing Jones' conspiracy simply makes Phillips a conspiracy nut. What is being censored? The claims of the 9-11 truthers has been widely reported and readily available. Questions are not facts. This is all conspiracy theory, not "research."

They don't cover REAL news in mainstream media. The things we post here on YouTube are NOT censored because if they were censored, people would start believing that these things are true (even though they may be or may not be).
