  • just be happy that Bioware is still making DA games, sheesh -_-

  • I laughed at how everyone said this game sucked; but none of them took the time to read the advertising campaign for it. It was a story about a rise to power; a single man or woman making a name for themselves while being involved in a significant piece of history. It was meant to show how the Templar and Magi broke down finally; how the tension was increasing between Humanity and Qunari, and how the Chantry needs to find out the truth in the world.

Get over your bias shit idiots.

  • @sgribbs86 Or Dragon Age: Champions

  • @Evryon

I don't give a damn about how experienced a person is if his opinions are utterly moronic. First of all "An ancient evil threatens to consume the world, you're the last surviving recruit of an elite order dedicated to battle this foe and must save the day" type plot is quite far from 'brilliant'. Second, The gameplay with the decade old infinity (used in BG) was far from perfect, but it was leagues better than the constant fight with camera angles and clunky controls of Dragon Age.

  • @sgribbs86 The games are called Dragon Age because it takes place in a fictional world in an era called Dragon Age. The story of Hawke takes place in that era therefore the title is still appropiate eventhough it doesn´t involve an invasion of darkspawn and the struggles of a grey warden. The same goes for other games such as Neverwinter Nights or The Elder Scrolls.

BTW: Personal insults doesn´t further your argument or opinon in any way.

  • @Nekhet By that logic the game wouldn't be a sequel at all and the 2 is meaningless. Therefore it would still be a terrible title choice. Please think before you drink and post.

  • @khatack You do realize that those guys at metacritic that gave it the respective scores are experienced gamers and critics.Maybe you do not like micromanagement.Plus there's more to a game than the gameplay,if you ask me the story was brilliant even though it was a bit of cliche on some parts.

  • @Evryon

It's not a matter of opinion, the game sucks. It's not my fault that so many people are dumb enough to actually like that crap. Then again, majority of the people believe in the supernatural also so I shouldn't be surprised.

You can make the comparison yourself; aside from graphics, even the old Baldur's Gate series are better games, and they were made a friggin decade ago.

  • @khatack A piece of crap that got 95 out of 100 on metacritic and got the prize of best rpg of the year... (your opinion is not the opinion of others let alone the majority of fans)

  • @fatnorb1

After the horrid piece of crap that was dragon age: origins, I have no idea how anyone had any expectations about this game. To be quite frank, even with all it's flaws, Dragon Age 2 was still a lot better than the original.

  • @sparrow13x Hmm... For some reason I actually think the romances in DA2 are a bit more "realistic", if I can use that term. See, in DA:O you are able to chat up and have a full-blown romance with a character in only a short time after you´ve met, so yeah.

  • @sgribbs86 If DA2 was a direct sequel to DA:O then it should have been called DA:O 2. No, DA2 was an alright title.
