A scene from the first of the three movies of Z Gundam - A New Translation.

In my opinion, the most powerful scene in the entire Gundam series. Char Aznable meets Amuro Ray seven years after the One-Year War. They did everything for this scene 100% right.

U.C. 0087 May, after the destruction of Jaburo. Titans force on Earth is now chasing the Karaba airship Audhumla and their captain Hayato Kobayashi, with Char's Hyaku Shiki and Kamille's Gundam Mk II.

I don't remember this happening on the original Z-Gundam, but this just scene just made Amuro to the next level of "kick-butt"-ness

This is why I love Amuro. During his time in MSG, he witnessed TWO of his allies pull off similar rams at the cost of their lives, Ryu Jose and Sleggar Law. And yet, when Amuro tries the same, he actually survives, AND ends up kicking even more ass in the Rick Dias right after.

Actually, the Rick Dias has better performance than the the original Gundam, and is technically better armored. Gundarium gamma is basically the replacement for the original composite the Gundam was made of.
