  • Why is David Byrne interviewing someone? I want to hear David.......

  • I agree. Byrne is the best.

Just 10 years later you can really see how interviewing styles have changed overall though. Today they cut the star off sometimes by just playing music and fading out.

  • @GhibliFan1 It was actually Yohan Jaguar Lingonhovel who was the first person on record to change his name because of J.C.M. Jeeez people, get your facts straight!!

  • I'm glad that David is interviewing another entertainer/songwriter/performer he's certainly very well qualified to be able to discuss the world of performing. Perhaps these two men admire each others musical talents and feel more comfortable talking to each other. They've both done a lot of interviews with media people before, so there is an angle here to see, I just don't know enough background to connect it.

  • @JohnnyLovely2 Jonny Cougar was the definition of rock payola to get airplay.

  • I agree with Cougar, there is this "hip" thing going on in cities that is really annoying and staying true to roots is really important

  • @ caricatureking: you read my mind. What an odd pairing. How random.

  • What a strange pairing...

  • Mellencamp's all "yeah, basically I've been ridin' Springsteen's jock for 30-odd years. It's time I fessed up".

  • @peachfgp I agree with you. I am from The LA, area and I went to IU in the mid-late 80's and it is a little cultural oasis, which is something that I was use to being and Angelian plus I love David Byrne, great artist..
