MG - MGF Autobahn / Highway ( Acceleration and Topspeed)

I drive my mother in laws MG F from 60 km/h to Topspeed but at 190 km/h a Alfa Romeo 147 GTA overhauled me clearly.

My GF had one, pretty car, I used to drive it and it was fun but her MX5 is far better. She got rid of the MGF cos of endless problems with head-gasket. Her MX5 is a jap import still with the speed limiter (112mph?) so never been able to test top speed. MX5 has 126K miles on it and is rock solid.

My TF 160 gets to 230KPH easily. I think even a 120 BHP model can reach it if pushed a little! I ll try to upload some vids

The guy in the Alfa must have been at top speed...240 km/h...

Tried a MGF 120 HP today...the driving sensations were just in par with those of a former Rover 220 diesel I had years ago...a bit deceived I must admit ( I drive a Saab 9.5 Aero, so...)...nice car thought and a 1st class chicks vacuum cleaner at a fair price, second hand...

I've had my TF160 at 120mph (just under 200kph) with the roof down, and it still felt like it would accelerate well if I put my foot down! It's even better when you have twisty corners...
