Thanks to Howard Zinn for being alive! Why does Nobel ignore people like Howard Zinn for a Peace prize? maybe because he condemns American militarism, unlike Obama who talks about American leadership by conducting drone attacks on unsuspecting Afghans and Pakistanis.

Thank you Howard, for keeping a clear mind to the end.

It's easy to buy into the propaganda (I did so myself with Obama, briefly). However, the NDAA also increased nuclear expenditure by the US (already at $30bn a year, which was Wallstat's projected cost of wiping out world starvation in 2011), which is hardly the way to go about disarmament.

I loved Howard Zinn, his words still ring true with me. Very inspirational. Thank goodness that we still have his videos and writings. Howard Zinn taught me how to not be neutral. Today I protest the NDAA with my Occupy mates in America. We are all facing arrest for our civil disobedience today.

Those two, especially the middle one, are so much his intellectual inferior it is embarrasing

Progressive are truly an amazing species- draconian control of small arms in this country but......NUCLEAR WEAPONS for WHOEVER can develop them in the rest of the world!

Because of Howard Zinn i became a better person. Its not what he says could be 100% true i mean were all humans and have opinions, its the fact he had the same thoughts i had. Im not a dumb punk rocker like 99% of the population so yeah. Not all punks are dumb. Stay true and stay free.

I agree a peace prize should be given to ones who advocate peace and have not initiated wars & killings not to those who start wars and then sign a peace treaty that benefits them. The real winner of peace prize should be the peace promoters like Ahmadinejad whose speech at the UN promotes peace

@TechnoDevotee Zinn was actually a world war 2 veteran. He said there there are no good wars, but necessary wars.
Howard Zinn paused when it came to discussing Israel; I wonder why.

Actually this was an excerpt from a program that was mostly discussing the Arab/Israeli conflict. This was posted the day after Obama received the prize.
