you did a great job man , but like you said at 1500 dollars per stick with new components, you can just buy thea new l1 model one for 1700 dollars, you did do an awesome job , by the way dont forget that the speakers in the line array in some of the l1 systems are actually angled so you get much better dispersion

Higher SPL means a louder output at the same power level.
Automotive speakers have a very low SPL That means a 84 db speaker at 500 watts is equal to a 98 db speaker at 30 watts. You want speakers that have 90 or better SPL.

Do you work for BOSE?! Well if you aren't, you should be!
I'd like to make some Bang & Olufson speakers myself, esp Beolab. But, I think that would be pretty difficult to do on a budget...

to add to my last comment, i found a old BOSE power mixer on ebay. its from the 80's and supposedly works. it has 6 days left and a $100 buy now price. its listed as (BOSE POWERMIXER, 400WATTS MONO & 802 EQ)

if you do want to make new versions of the arrays, you can go on ebay and find bose replacement 901/802 midranges for cheap. and they would probably be new.
