Finally, my brother and I used to enact this sketch, at home, on my tape recorder, using these toy hexagon shaped nuts(7 of course), as the cupcakes. I would be Ernie, and my bro Tim, Cookie Monster. We even used my Polaroid camera--hearing the click of the camera on tape, added to the hilarity of it. In particular, I remember this one time, Tim and I made had made perfect timing--right when Tim goes,"It's pretty!"then dropped his mouth open, and I guffawed, Dad's voice: "Get to bed, boys!"

Just to finish what I was just saying(I was almost at the limit of characters), as all SS fans know and remember, Cookie Monster would crash Kermit's lessons, by eating what Kermit was teaching(a shape, letter, or number), or anyway, would destroy it, as in Kermit's rectangle lesson(that one always made me split my sides, as did this one, partly with Cookie's gravelly voice, as they do still.) I also remember Ernie's U for ukulele lesson, where Cookie, after "behaving himself" ate the ukulele.

I sure as heck remember this sketch--I figured it had to be from the show's early days, before Cookie Monster got his name, and sure enough, I was right;according to another YouTube member, it was made in 1970. I recently found out, that although Cookie Monster was with the show from day one, he was not specifically known as the "Cookie Monster," although he was recongnized, as the goggly-eyed,blue monster who was Ernie's and Kermit's "tormentor",like when he would crash Kermit's lessons.

1:57 Cookie Monster was a ghost... or a ninja, even!

Keep in mind that at the moment Ernie took the photo, the Cookie Monster was out of sight. It's as if he were invisible except that the camera picked up on it. LMAO....

I think so, too. In the german version he said:"Hübsch geworden!", wich means the same.
