Nine soldiers, part of a secret SAS operation, are stationed deep in enemy territory in the Arabian Sea, South Oman. They are looking forward to returning home after four months of fighting. What they dont know is that 300 enemy troops are about to launch a devastating attack.
The stakes are high: the enemy want to kill them and then foment revolution throughout the Gulf. If Dhofar fell the communists would have a stranglehold on the supplies to the Western world.
This is the story of a battle fought against colossal odds, in which two men make the greatest sacrifice of all.

damn j wasn't even born when this thing took place sas have been around since the stone age they just lopped stones and onions to blind you instead of flashbangs and mp5's
You have to serve like 3 years. Then you can apply if your officer agrees...whoever then passes selection is in the SAS.
They don't just choose who has the most experience, that's bullshit. They put them through rigorous training designed to fail and kill you. Whoever survive are the toughest...and are in...
3years part is true but you dont need to ask you just sign up and they do it for you you have to do a fitness test even thow your a fit soldier but thats because your about to go into the world most deadlyest training
Yeah you can apply or get recommended. I asked a staff sergeant today (he was in the Army, though), about how long you must serve, he said between 5-10 years. I don't know how accurate he is but yeah, he said you can just apply.
tbh if you join the army and then go in 3 years latter your only going to know what your trained because you may not even go to war even in the 10 years service, a man known as mac an X-SAS soldier in the anti-terror unit was in the army for 10 years then went into enginering for 8 years then he signed up with every expericence like most of the wars and a he was a specialist in it all helped him get in so best to know alot before you think of going in
