  • I know several other teachers teach them out of order, I don't because of the benefits and how one skill helps set up for the next etude. I noticed you didn't record these etudes in order, I'm not sure if you're cherry-picking or not, but I can hear that you're not getting the full benefit of the etudes. Chopin etudes being the pinnacle of piano technique, if you were truly in Op. 25 with Op. 10 complete, you'll find this piece to be less difficult and perhaps less mistakes.

  • It needs work, Liszt is a major piano composer. You know, the recording quality of today's music is so much better than that of the past, yet Arthur Rubinstein, Rachmaninoff, Horowitz and others have no where near the echos and clutter. I recommend you to study the Alexander technique of piano and finish Czerny etudes in order. Then do Chopin etudes in order. Especially the Op. 10 series, the first one fixes hand posture, focuses relaxation, seat posture, back and forearm rotation and fingers.
