@jgirard10 Although I was commenting on this particular vid, I know that what I stated still stands, even when referring to his other work. Most of his music, when lyrically analysed, could stand alone as 'poetry'. The problem is still ever present; just as in the 60's, our culture is not intellectually competent to derive meaning from artistic expressions. Same reason people are not able to read shakespeare, same reason people needed to have a 'musical' format in order to HEAR morrison.

@MYTHIRDSHADOW You're right. After he died they interviewed his sister and they talked on the phone one time.He told her he was an entertainer but he didn't actually want to do that.He wanted to recite his poems but "they wouldn't listen."

@MYTHIRDSHADOW The music wasn't added until after he died

@OrangeSaint420 you can get it off the internet without the music. One thing i liked about it, was how it was just music and poetry, he wasnt trying to sing along with the beat. It is pretty different and unique for music back than an even today.

umm on the album, its followed by another song(poem). This was made after jim morrison had past away. The group took the lyrics and poems he recorded on his last birthday, and added in their instrumentals. So to answer your question: its only 1 and 20 sec because thats how long jims poem lasted
