No hint of Eckstine, Pitney, Presley, Wilson, Brown, or anyone else - just the sheer beauty and power of the Proby voice at its prime. Listening to this is pure joy.

@Janette3621 I'm so happy that people are even now still discovering P.J.Proby & the wonderful voice that he has! Better late than never !!! A true legend!!

This is amazingly beautiful. I had to listen to it twice....I've not heard it before. Fame and fortune should be his.

I just discovered PJ Proby about a week ago. I can't tell you how unhappy I am for not knowing about him before now. Look at what I missed! He was the cutest guy singing Hold Me in 1965.... & that smile....wow!! I don't understand how I missed him. I've asked several friends if they ever heard of him and they haven't either. What tha? I am mad & I am sad for all the yrs that I have not been able to hear this man sing. A great loss for me.

This song has a lot of power and feeling to it and the way PJ sings it is awsome. When he comes back to Australia We'll be there with bells on and it will be very hard for us to say goodbye when he has to go home.

This song by P.J. always puts a lump in my throat & I've heard it 100's of times. I was honoured & so touched to hear it "live" in the mid 90's in "Only The Lonely"I wish he'd do it these days. Ron

PJ is a mixture of Billy Ekstine,Elvis and the real Marcus Smith

merrysnotproud, Blimey I agree 200% with you.....this is a first!! Ron
Part 2 of my comment that started yesterday...
Of course by playing PJs records I have gained Jim hundreds of new fans, some of them have become hardcore fans, and NOT because of me, but because of the incredible treasure that PJ Proby's music is. Music that until not so long ago were completely unknown to them.
So Ron, once again, we are clever, but we are also the lucky ones who once bumped into Jims music...so many people never did...and that's a big shame for the whole industry of music.

and shame on the media too! Who actively participated in the Moral Majoritys stupid campaign and afterwards - even today! - left Proby´s music in the dark.
