UPDATE:- O'Reilly had to make 2 corrections on 25/04/07 for false assertions he made about Bill Moyers 24/04/07.
O'Reilly read a letter from Ric Burns,a Moyers staff member, stating that Bill Moyers does not take money from PBS and resigned two years ago from the Board of George Soros' Open Society Institute .

"How the administration marketed the war to the American people has been well covered, but critical questions remain: How and why did the press buy it, and what does it say about the role of journalists in helping the public sort out fact from propaganda?"

Among all the other QUALIFIED lies is the assertion PBS is substantially supported by tax dollars. In fact, PBS and NPR get less than two percent of their operating budget(s) from government or government-associated organizations. The other 98% is from member stations and foundation grants. If you donate to your local public broadcasting TV or radio station, your dollars go there - not PBS or NPR. Your local stations buy programming from them.

This attempt at character assassination by O'Reilly and Malkin does in no way detract or change the respect I have for Bill Moyers, as O'Reilly suggests it has at the end of the piece. In fact, what it does is strengthen and reinforce my respect for Moyers, and strengthen and reinforce my loathing of Moyers, Malkin and the whacko far-right ideology Fox News forces on the public.
