AVERY'S BEST DAY EVER:
(It's Really sorta lame as I am better at writing stories about bad days..oh well)
I awoke bright and early to the calming chirp of the robin outside my window and the annoying whir of the fan
above my head. Slowly sitting up in my bed, I reached my hand out to turn off my fan. As my hand gripped the silver chain dangling
from one of the fan blades, my hand, that was propping me up, slipped, or rather the pillow under it slipped. Still holding onto the chain,
I tumbled out of bed, wide awake now. I prepared to crash onto the floor by closing my eyes tight and bracing my entire body.
After a few moments, I opened my eyes and realized I had not made contact withe ground, but was instead
flying around the room as fast as a jet. I looked up, which I found was quite hard to do, and realized that me yanking the chain the whole time had
turned the fan on high power, and since the chain was wrapped around the fan blade, it too was circling the room in a frenzy.
(I needn't mention that I was still holding the chain).
Finally, I timed it right, and let go of the chain. My right timing was acctually way off. I slammed into a
brown cedar wood dresser, which then swayed back and forth until it began to fall...on top of me... Once again, I closed my eyes.
Once again, i opened my eyes. I had heard a crash and thought I surely must be knocked out, but the dresser had
actually fallen on my trunk at the foot of my bed, leaving a small alcove for me to cower in. I peeked out at the fan.
It had stopped, or was at least slowing down. I turned back to the dresser. Big mistake.
All the drawers suddenly, as if part of a big chain reaction, tumbled out into my face and gut. After the calmaity had finsihed and
I was laying sprawled out on the floor, hundreds of misplaced items on top of me, I glanced down, nervously, to my feet to see if they were still there.
They were. I sighed in relief. Then something caught my attention.
There was a huge green wad laying next to my feet. Slowly sitting up, then banging my head on the dresser, falling back down,
and slowly sitting up again, I proceeded to bang my head on the dresser again, thus falling down again. The next time I sat up, I was careful not
to bang my head. I picked up the green wad and examined it. Cash! I flipped thoruhg the bills. Millions and millions of dollars were in my hands!
I got out from under the dresser and ran out my door, down the hall, to the kitchen. There I found my mom and some man in a black suit, both with
big grins on their faces.
"Mom! Guess what I found!" I exclaimed.
"No, you guess what I found!" my mom shouted.
"Hm? What's that?" I asked, feigning interest.
"This man was walking outside on the street offering twelve million dollars to the first person he met who was named, or had a child named, Avery.!"
she motioned at the man next to her.
"Yes, here you go sonny," the man handed me a huge briefcase. Opening the case and thingking, "What the heck is wrong with today?", I was amazed at all
the money inside.
A few hours later, I had spent all the money on trading cards and gum. BEST DAY EVER!
