  • The NRA is on LSD WTF!!! I have (had) relatives work in Glacier National Park They are in total Shock! As Park Rangers,Park Service Personal, campground monitors, THEY HATE IT!! I know management who just left jobs as of tonight..once that law was passed, they quit. IT IS NOT GOOD THINGS WILL HAPPEN THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! Bad Law Bad Law
  • well tell your friends who left not to let the door hit them in the ass on the way out. Rangers don't get a say, we live in a country of free-men not a police-state. life I said, the National Forest system has allowed guns in their forests for a long time and the crime statics were identical to the park system

  • Yes, We need to be able to defend ourselves in National Parks where there are often animals and often vagrants, etc.

  • well, i don't plan on turning Mount Ranier National Park into the OK corral, but even one of those ".32 poppers" that schram talks about will scare off a bear, you are much less likely to be attacked in a NP but you can't count on the police to show up quick enough when you get robbed in seattle, how long will it take a ranger to show up in the middle of nowhere, Ken ignores all of that. i don't know if you live in the seattle area, these are local guys, Carlson ran for governor in 2000.

  • I totally agree with Ken. He rocks! =)

  • i liked John carlson better when he had his own show, instead of sitting with schrambo, i don't like schram.

  • Ken Schram isn't Liberal or Conservative, he's part of a political party called SpeakTheTruth.

  • Well, it's been more than a year and the magnanimous extension of enumerated constitutional right rights onto federal lands does not appear to have resulted in the "bloodbath" that we were wrned of. Had there been a single mishap I am pretty sure that it would have been network news for weeks. I can't even understand how they ever passed off such a clearly illicit and idiotic ban to begin with, poachers or not. "IF we ban guns in parks, poaching will stop." Yeah.

  • it's legal to target shoot and carry guns in National Forests and has been for years. State parks and forests in washington state have also allowed gun possesion for years. National Parks were no safer or more dangerous then these systems, in addition people got punished for carrying guns in their cars when driving on roads that run through national parks.

  • As long as national parks allow admittance to felons, drug addicts, child molesters, con artists, murderers, rapist, illegal immigrants, sociopaths, psychopaths, lawyers, politicians and mentally ill people, then I, a sane law abiding citizen should be able to carry a firearm within the park as well.

  • Use common sense!

National park is not Manhattan Street or Rodeo Drive.

You cannot call 911 and nobody comes in 3 minites.

You have to face to all problems encountered by yourself.

I am fine if you hate gun and go into deep woods without gun but never tell me to do so!

  • I and many others have carried firearms in national parks for years despite the unconstitutional ban on this right. I don't poach and I don't turn into a murderer the moment I enter the park.

The anti-gun anti-civil rights crowd have no logical point whatsoever. They only have emotional rhetoric to argue their anti-gun rants.

This law only makes it legal to exercise a constitutional right that I and many others have been exercising for years.

Forgive me for not jumping in the air in joy.

  • i did not know that your right only rights when you "need" them.

  • Both have their own points but I agree with Schram. I don't see the real need for guns EVERYWHERE. However if laws did pass I really wouldn't care because I'm just a liberally leaning moderate.
