Dissolving gold filled watch bands caps.
the caps ware pre leached with nitric acid to remove most of base metals.
on this video the gold filled caps is beeing dissolved in aqua regia.

I wrote eairler, I Used R.A. to dissolve my pins and parts that were very gold looking. I poured it through a filter,took teh what looked very rich preg. and hit it with SMB but it never dropped. Is the Gold still in the filter? it looks more like the brown sludge in the filter. But I never precipitated what went through the filter,just the soloution I caught.

ok i am haveing hard time doing this i have made my Aqua Regia 1part to 3 part mix with the n and h. acid 1 part is n and 3 part is h....let is sit and fizz. for 24 hours. then do i add sodium metabisulphite i did that the last lot and went cloudy with the sodium sitting on the bottum of my jar........ can you help mate.....
