I made this video for a Scripture Union holiday for young teenagers. I think that even though this isn't strictly a worship song, the lyrics are very powerful and suggestive of the Gospel story.

The bible verses are taken from Romans 5:6-8 and 1 John 4:9-10.

Feel free to use this video in any way which spreads the news of Jesus! (But please take care over the copyrighted soundtrack)

  • Superb video. You mention it may be used to spread the news of Jesus? We have a non-denominational, nothing for sale, (Irish) Christian website. Uniquely, we neither seek nor accept donatioons, or charge fees but rely on God for all provisions. Have held Christian outreaches in USA and Europe. Ok to use this to reach the lost, the lonely and the sick?

  • @nowetireland Sure, that's fine with me. All the pictures are royalty free, but you may wish to take care with the audio soundtrack - It's copywrited byUMG

  • Jesus came to become the KING OF KINGS.Why didnt it happen?I wish it did:(

  • @NHazel1 Jesus is King of Kings, but he came to earth to die a criminal's death, so that we could be forgiven by God. He said in John 18:36 “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”. Every King has a kingdom. Jesus' is the Kingdom of Heaven. Right now, it doesn't look like he's king of this world, but he will come back. Philippians 2:10 shows all kings will eventually bow to Jesus!

  • @tomhsharky

    the jews didn't arrest jesus

that is just the bible brainwashing you guys to hate them

  • @IronXXXMaiden1 Jesus was Jewish too, I agree that this statement has been misused in history to try and justify horrific crimes against Jews, but the bible isn't saying that. Jesus was killed by the people of this world because they couldn't bear to admit to him being God. Paul, who wrote most of the books in the New Testament, and explained why Jesus had to die so he could be raised to life again, was also Jewish!

  • @bobbytanks, Not really. Bono, The Edge, and Larry Mullen, Jr are Christians. Adam Clayton is the only one who isn't, unless he's changed over?

Bono includes references to God or Christ in some songs, such as "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For", "If God Would Send His Angels", and "Grace" among others.

  • This is so spiritual...My Lord we bring our praises before you.. philillie

  • @geiroffenberg It is true that it was an offensive statement, and while I am a devout Christian, I don't think John Lennon meant it to offend people, as he explained himself, he meant that kids were paying more attention to the Beatles, a band, than to Jesus (which isn't hard to believe--at that time, millions of girls idolized them).

  • nice tribute.

  • U2's songs are timeless.
