This is a demonstration of my COMPLETE camp shower system that utilizes the Coleman Hot Water On Demand system, as well as the PETT Toilet system enclosure, GSI Outdoors Cedar Shower Deck, GCI Outdoors Xpress Lounger Chair, Reliance Aqua-Tainer, and my MODIFIED Coleman HWOD Sprayer Attachment.

  • Well does this system work in the field like it should? And when you recirculate the water back does it take less heat to reheat the system? And how does everything hold up after multiple uses?

  • @PtotheRum The system works great in the field. There's nothing like a hot shower after a few grimey days at camp.

After the system runs for about minutes, you can pretty much turn the heat all the way off, as most or all of your water supply will have already gone through the heater at least once - if using a water container like the one in the video.

Everything is holding up very well. The cedar shower deck is the 1 component that seems to be wearing out.

  • @PtotheRUM The only issue I've found is that the batteries for the HWOD do not like the cold! If you are camping anywhere where the temperatures fall below 50*, I would highly suggest bringing the batteries into the tent with you to keep them warm.

  • Great set up man, thanks for posting this, I plan on using a set up like yours with an instant water heater that is fueled by wood.

  • @tryin2lhard Fueled by wood?!?! Sounds great, but that would be VERY tough to control the water temp!

  • where did you buy the 3 way valve could you please return imformation to robby007@live.com.au thanks

  • @wokeupstillking666 The valve is available at w w w . mobilemart . com.

  • No updates on your system? Can you do another video on it after your uses? Can you include what you like and don't like about it? I want to do this myself and need more info. Thanks again.

  • @SARSquid79 Take a look at the video bs4872 made on his instant water heater that is fueled by wood, these would be great for off grid living applications.

I like your shower set up in how you made a closed loop that you can bypass.

    Well done!

  • @SARSquid79 I would run the wood fed system as an open system, it creates instant hot water just as this does, I would use it for my RV in where your temps are controlled by cold and hot water adjusted to your desire.

There are some safety features that I am not willing to discuss that I will employ in controlling max temps so they do not become dangerous.
