Why would you quote a Quranic verse that refers to believers and not to unbelievers? This "issue" here seems to refer to unbelievers (conspirators, etc.) only.

I wonder, aren't these blasphemy laws a desperate, last-ditch defense of a sick religion? Surrounded on all sides by new ideas, these religious 'leaders' must be feeling uneasy, at risk of losing their power and privileged positions...their crimes against humanity broadcast to the world. Please reply if you have ideas about how we atheists can hasten this process.

@moopism Yes. There does appear to be something intrinsically unhealthy for people to accept certain dogmas without any evidence whatsoever and then to actually regard this 'faith' as a good thing. In effect they have fallen for a con; the more unbelievable the greater the faith. Roman Catholicism and Islam were spread by force and both rely on indoctrination, intimidation and ignorance. Perfect for frauds and predators.

@moopism Yes you are correct, with no God it's all lies. However if you pay close attention to the video, there is a death penalty in Pakistan for blasphemy laws. There are NO blasphemy laws in any western country that I am aware of. Call moses a liar, or Joshua a murderer, and some people might be offended. One might even find reason to assert that Jesus was an invented Godly superhero. In Pakistan a woman was sentenced to DEATH for saying, "Your prophet had worms in his mouth before he died".
