if, by saying "eft," you are referring to the external fuel tank, then you are wrong. the tank is jettisoned after mec and burns up in the atmosphere. at mec the tank is traveling too fast to survive reentry. it is the one part of the shuttle system that is NOT reused.

Funny how the SRB, AKA that rocket is used about 50 or 60 times, and is only thrown away on accident, AKA Explosion which is very rare.
