I'm wondering when the next two truly great artists will emerge. I don't think we got anything anywhere near that same level of influence and excitement.The closest we have is Jay Z, I think. Damn that's kinda sad......Talent

This debate will never end! I will say that Prince's overall level of musicianship & performance ability make him #1.Michael is THE performer of our time but that's where his genius ends(plays a piano a bit,but relies on producers/writers to create his classic songs).Prince's music is a truer reflection of what was going on.You cant compare "Billie Jean" to "1999"(Child born outta wedlock vs positive outlook on life even when things look their worst)Prince got less exposure b/c he was riske.
