I gotta say, I'm sad to hear that Rene was physically abusive to her and how things went down. I love the music they made together and they were both beautiful. I loved seeing them the way I loved seeing Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson.

The combination of her talent, beauty, and class is undeniably great. Her struggle, her embracing of her abilities and faith to get through and still be able to endear herself to her fans is something that will always stick with me. She is and will forever be a star. She never will be unsung to those like myself who appreciate all that is Angela Winbush.

I was never really impressed with Winbush during the 80's and 90's...I was young and didn't have an appreciation for real music. Today I realize that this lady was/is the real deal! Such a shame she didn't experience more success and acclaim.
