  • Do not be so critical about variation. Each karateka learns and performs differently. There is no right way or wrong way. Be consistent of what you are doing.

  • long live the vertical punch, and long live isshinryu

  • @miguelmstewie , you obviously know nothing of isshinryu karate. If you really think Tatsuo Shimibuku, the FOUNDER of isshinryu karate would telegraph a block or strike during a fight, you are just retarted. I would love to see you go up against anyone that currently trains in isshinryu. You would be pumbled in 5 seconds. Go practice some tai kwon doe you loser.

  • This is the form I'm on now. I been slacking off for the past 3 weeks after I got my Orange Belt... Man, this Kata is Sick!!!! And I just got my sais yesterday so its back to work!

  • dude...this kata is so sick...

  • Just a heads up.... It's ku SAN ku. I know because I am a beast at this kata and it's sai form. But other wise... EPIC..... and the only right way his master shimabuku's way.

  • Got it memorized, now I have to learn Sunsu.

  • @786myfist

if that is what you believe than you have learned nothing

  • Talon, first of all, it's not just this master that starts you chambering from the hip. One reason is you can deliver the maximum power from this area, then as one progress or mastering the punch you learn to do it from any point between the hip to just a few inches away from your strike point. Another point which many don't believe is in this point (a) at the hip to (b) full extension inline with your center is were chi is focused more directly from your one point (dan tien). Hope this helps.

  • I believe those who make these negative remarks had seen Master Tatsuo in his dojo teaching you would have a different opinion (then again you probably would not, the problem is not the master but is in you)

  • which culture are you from? and i feel in my heart that isshinryu has been more of a father to me but that is just my personal feelings on it. and 786myfist i agree 100% ive gone from a man who could not defend himself agienst anyone to a man capable of killing a man barehanded within 4 seconds, no question just action and yet still in complete control.

  • thats because this is called kata... ah whats the point explaining things, fuck youll never get it.
